Now that the dust has settled from the holidays, I would like to take this opportunity to (belatedly) wish all of you the best of the season and a very happy and healthy New Year.

I am bound and determined to make this year what 2009 was not. With determination, ingenuity, help from my customers (old and new) and some good old fashioned elbow grease, 2010 is going to be a much better year. I sincerely hope that the same holds true for you as well.

Winter Plumbing Tips:

Always shut the water off to the house when leaving for vacation (winter or any other time of the year).
Run hot and cold water at a trickle for any faucets that are located on the outside wall of the house and have frozen up in the past.
Open cabinet doors in the kitchen or bathroom for those fixtures that are freeze prone. If you are going to use a space heater, do not leave it unattended and position it in a safe area away from anything combustible.

Changes For 2010:

The name of the business will change from Heffner and Associates to Heffner Plumbing.
A customer retention program to include at a minimum the e-mail newsletter and quarterly post cards.
Referral rewards program (still working on that)
