Although some of you that are receiving this may not be a father or a parent, this is being sent in the spirit of the day. Happy Father's Day to one and all. I hope that those that are receiving this have the opportunity to spend some quality time with the ones that you love.

The Passing Of A Loyal Son And Father
 Tim Russert

Tim Russert's death this past Friday was a loss not just for the Russert family, but for this country as a whole on many levels. I was devastated when I heard the news on Friday and truly felt that I had lost a good friend. Tim's book, "Big Russ & Me" was given to me by my wife shortly after it came out and was a book that I enjoyed reading. I pulled that book off of the shelf on Friday night and set it on my desk as I came to terms with the terrible news.

It may seem strange to be reading these words from your plumber on Father's Day, but in my mind a fitting tribute to a man that came to mean so much to the people of this great nation.

Lending A Helping Hand To Those Less Fortunate
 Red Cross
The mid-west has suffered terrible losses in the past few weeks between tornadoes and the more recent flooding. Those that have lost homes and businesses number in the thousands and need help. As a tribute to my father's memory, I have personally given a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Please take a moment to reflect on the blessings in your own lives and do what you can for those that are less fortunate and in dire need.

Sincerely,

David Heffner
