A customer told me about Bar Keepers Friend several years ago when I saw how clean their cast iron kitchen sink was. For any of you that have a cast iron kitchen sink, it goes without saying how easy it is for them to get marked up from pots and pans. A little bit of this on a wet sponge and some elbow grease will get rid of most if not all of those marks that you have.

Chlorine tablets that you drop in the back of the toilet tank will eat up all of the rubber parts to include the flapper, washers for the tank to bowl bolts and even the rubber washer for the fill valve. Another alternative in trying to keep the toilet bowl clean are these cleaning gels. We have been using these in our home for several months and have been pleased with how they work.

And last but not least is the old stand-by, white vinegar. This can be used to removed hard water deposits on faucets, showerheads and around the base of faucets. Equal parts of baking soda and white vinegar in a drain can help drains flow freely for years without a clog if done on a consistent basis.
